On November 10, 2014, Drakontas released version 1.12 of DForce its mobile collaboration application allowing teams to create and share information more rapidly, accurately and efficiently over mobile devices. The update provides some minor bug fixes, improved compatibility with iOS 8, and improved performance of file geotagging.
Over the last several months, Drakontas has released several version updates that provide new features to it’s robust collaboration tools. In August, they added the ability for Mobile Commander to create and manage groups and the integration of Twitter allowing users to tweet to a designated Twitter handle.
The update in October provided three new features that included the ability to geotag any file, attach photos from MyWorkspace to forms and find an address on maps. If you haven’t had a chance to try the new enhancement, download the most recent update and take them for a spin before having to deploy them in the field.
With Apple claiming almost 70% of the enterprise smartphone market since the release of the iPhone 6 according to Good Technology’s latest Mobility Index Report. It’s obvious that the iPhone and iPad play and will continue to play a vital role in how law enforcement and other agencies share information across multiple operating platforms.
